In re: Bell persons mentioned in the above Digest. Can you identify any furthur? One of my grandmothers of about this time period, was a Catherine Bell. A much earlier family (William and Esther Curtis Bell) lived in East Feliciana, and one of their daughters was married to Reddin Brown. A brother of the same family, Samuel Bell (married Fenner) lived in Ft. Adams and operated a hotel. He died before the 1860 census. I seem to remember that someone had determined no connection between the Wilkinson Brown family and the one in East Feliciana Parish.
