Hi Mary I am always excited to see a Peter Smith Descendant show up on this list. Do you know who the first wife and family of Peter Smith Jr. were? I have not been able to get a line on them. I know that there is a marriage record of Peter Smith marrying Salley Finley on 8 September 1818 Wilkinson County Marriage Book A pg. 35. Peter Smith and James Caraaway put up the $200 bond on 8 September 1818.The book states the marriage license was not returned. Salley was the daughter of Elijah Findley and Margaret __. There are conveyance records between Peter and Riley Findley and Peter and Jasper M. Anderson for shares in Elijah and Margaret's estate as late as 1850 but I do not know if this is the same Peter that married Annanias Jones. Also who were Annanias Jones parents? Thanks!
