The Wilkinson county 1840 census is divided into two sections, the first is the town of Woodville and the second part includes the rest of the county. Both are in alphabetical order so there are no clues as to who was living next to whom. Also, I and J are treated as the same letter. Thank you, Virginia. You are a peach. I was hoping someone with information about those families would respond. I have access to the records, but I didn't happen to write them down. I have them now, though! (Thanks!) Maybe I can ask Sidney when I call him.
