loose probate papers of Wilkinson county, MS Douglas Day citizen of Amite co. md. Rebecca A. McNeil a resident of Wilkinson county, 1868 and lived together until sometime in 1876. JOHN HAVARD testified that he knew them both from infancy. Douglas was living with his father, Rebecca was living with her father and they had not lived together for four or five years. sworn 26 Apr 1880 W. M. NETTLES testified that he had known them since they md. in 1868 and they had been separated at least 4 years. They could not agree. Rebecca left Douglas. JOHN LEAK testified he had known Rebecca since 1878 and Douglas since 1876 and they where not living together then. That he had heard Rebecca say she was waiting for Douglas to get a divorce & she was going to marry. 20 April 1880 Bill of divorce granted 28 April 1880 to Douglas Day from Rebecca A. Day
