I found this will in the loose probate papers in court house, Woodville, Wilkinson co., MS. This was a real find as all papers before 1840 where suppose to have been copied into the probate books and then destroyed. I have no idea where this Day fits into our Amite and Wilkinson county Days. I know I have seen this name before but can not remember were. Probably in one of the earlier census. DAVID A. V. DAY dec'd on 20th of Jan 1825 requested Mr. Daniel D. Anderson if he should not recover from the wound he then had received on the above date that he should wright to his brother Wm. S. Day that it is his will and wish that his son DAVID EDWARD DAY should have all the money and interest of the estate of my father EDWARD DAY deceased and it is my wish that brother Wm. will be the guardian and pay the same to him as he may request it.
