Have you been able to research this branch of COBBS? I have some info on them, such as the father, Joshua COBB is buried at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Wilkinson County, but have been unable to find parents of Joshua. We believe that the mother of Minerva and Amanda was Louisa McFATE. Pat Verner" Pat, I don't have much information about this COBB line, but we've always believed that Minerva and Amanda's parents were named Joseph and Mary - this is based on family lore and the 1860 US census listing for Amite Co for: Cobb, Joseph age 35 " , Mary age 35 " , Thomas age 19 " , Louisa age 15 " , Margaret age 13 " , Amanda age 11 " , Minerva age 9 Do you know who Joseph and Mary are, if they're not the parents of this family? Also, another individual emailed me off list asking for any info about Amanda and Minerva's sister Louisa. I don't have any info, do you?
