SANDERS I have quite a bit that I have copied from various sources. I am going to send it to your personal e-mail address as it is probably too much to send to the list. As for sources: I have all of the Wilkinson county census from 1820 to 1930 on CDs. I have all of the early wills, the first inventory and accounts book, various probate books, court minutes, deeds, original signers, and some of the early newspapers on microfilm at our local FHC. The problem is, I don't have time to search all of these records and am going through them, one by one, to extract names and data that might help the list subscribers. All of these are available at your local FHC and cost only $3.25 plus cost of stamp or phone call to let you know they are in. You can keep them for a month and renew them for the same price. I wish I could extract them all to share with the list but my vision is not what it use to be. Virginia

    1. MY REPLY Re: 11/22/03 1st REPLY Re: [MSWILKIN] SANDERS FAMILY FROM WOODSVILLE, MS.
    2. Ms. Ewing, THANK YOU, EVER SO MUCH but SAUNDERS vs. SANDERS doesn't definitively explain who my ancestors really are. Instead of going through all those records I think my search could be narrowed down to who was the FATHER OF "POKE" SANDERS, who I 'know' was my great-great-great-grandfather. And, I know 'definitely' he was from Woodsville, MS.. I really, really, appreciate what you're doing/did in my behalf. See, I too am limited due to a handicapped condition and speech impediment. I would think an odd name such as "POKE" wouldn't be hard to get information on, 'without' going through a lot of records. The Republican Paper, census, or birth records should reveal the information. My guess would be early or middle 1800's for both "POKE" and his father. Ms. Ewing, thanks, again!! Ron SANDERS P. S. Woodville's population back in the 1800's had to be small with only one or two SANDERS families 'not' SAUNDERS. Also, I hate to appear dumb, however, what does the initials 'FHC' stand for? Call it a 'senior moment' if you will.
