I do see a Lydia Shropshire who was the d/o Thomas Shropshire and Martha J. [McNeil] Womack, age 1 in 1870--but--this was not the Lydia who md. my John Duncan Ashley. This Lydia was b. 1850 but I can not find her on the 1860 census and haven't a clue to her parents. I am trying to sort the Shropshires for my Day book. Have to get it done in the next 3 days to get it printed out and over to MS before the reunion the 17th. Decided at the last moment, almost, to ad the descendants of Jonathan Day's children by his first wife. They include the descendants of John and Walter Shropshire. Also trying to find data on Mrs. Ella Shropshire who md. Thomas J. Shropshire 15 April 1897. He seems to be the son of Thomas and Martha but who is she and who was her first husband? I can not find the previous marriage. Do hope you have something on these folks and won't mind sharing. Be glad to e-mail you what I come up with on these lines, if you need it.
