    2. Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. My interest in DNA testing is to prove/disprove an "illegitimate lineage". I would need someone from the 'legitimate' line to take the test. It would be easy to locate them but I don't know if they would be willing as the mere mention of it back in the 1980s 'scandalized' the 'legal family. Wish me luck!
