Going down Perrytown Road...heading from Crosby to Dolorosa....you will pass roads on the left like Crooked Creek Road, Turkey Creek Road and then a very small area called Ireland. A few miles past Ireland you will pass a road I have heard called Possum Corner Road--not Possum Point--that is located on the right hand side of the road. After Possum Corner/Point Road you will pass Mars Hill Cemetery on the right and about 300 ft. later you will pass Enlow/Tyler Cemetery (Wildwood Road) on the right. But you are saying there is a cemetery on Possum Point (Corner) Road...am I wrong??? I know there is a small black church about 2 miles--give or take-- down Possum Corner/Point Road on the right...with several unmarked graves that I am still trying to find out more about. ..but you are saying there is another cemetery on that road BEFORE you get to the church. It's been about 2 years since I was down the road, but you are right, just about everything down the road has become farming land or a cow pasture now. BUT WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO KNOW THE LOCATION OF THIS CEMETERY you are talking about!!! To your knowledge....can you recall any of the surnames you remember from this cemetery??? Promise you...if you/I can locate the cemetery...I will take pictures of the cemetery and will be more than happy to send them to you. Brenda McCurley White

    3. Hi Brenda You are right I am speaking for the Possum Corner road. The Black Church is only about 1/2 mile down the Possum Corner road. I am thinking since I have it drawn in on my Wilkinson County map the lane I was speaking about was about 1/4 mile or less down the Possum Corner road., right at a section line depicted on the map. I have this drawn in on my County Map, with the note "This is It" circled at the top of my map. With hunting season in full swing I didn't check the area any except from the Possum Corner Road. Also There is a small lane behind the black Church, on old maps it does show it coming back into the main road North of Ireland. It's been 15 years or more since I was there. What I do remember were the Enlow names on headstones outside the fence on the West side. I'm hoping I am not confused with the headstones in the Enlow/Tyler Cemetery on Wildwood Lane below the Mars Hill Church. Maybe those were outside the fence, but now someone has cleaned that section of the Enlow/Tyler Cemetery up as they did the back of the Mars Hill Cemetery. But I do remember all the vines, trees and brush I had to push my way through behind the fence to reach these graves. I would love checking the area I am discribing, but it is on private property. At the time 15 years ago I did exploer all the small cemeteries between Iereland, and Crosby on the roads you spoke of. I'm interested in finding Jessie Enlow Sr and Jr. and or Benjamin Franklin Enlow d.1876/wife Nancy Sarah Ann Enlow d. 1876, both from yellow fever. and also Stephen McCormick Dawson/Sarah Ann Enlow Dawson's graves. Thanks for your interest. Don Enlow (Malcolm D.
