This area is so complex, with different cultures living here through the ages. The "Thompson plantation" was located on Mile High Hill, so I was in hopes at some time it had become a cemetery site- Mile High Cemetery. Patience outlived LittleBerry Thompson in the 1850 census. Census: 1850 July 13 Wilkenson County, Mississippi, page 282 Patience Thompson, 70 y.o. female ( Georgia) with Ellen Wood, 20 y.o. Female (Miss), (daughter of Biddy Thompson Wood?) and E. Wood, 13 yo female (Miss). This is believed to be Sarah Ellen Duff, age 13, who had been taken out of the Natchez Orphanage along with her 12 yo brother Amos by their older sister, Nancy Duff Wall, of Concordia Parish, LA. Page 284 has Edward Duff, 42 yo male laborer (Virginia) living with 3 other laborers. Page 284 also has William Thompson, 23 yo male (Ky) shoemaker, living with the Willman family of shoemakers. Thanks again for the information Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
