Author: PaulaMoore690 Surnames: Bynum Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.mississippi.counties.wilkinson/60.6/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I read with interest your messages about logging roads and businesses in Wilkerson and Amite county, Miss. I have several old correspondance/contract letters between Foster Creek Lumber Company of Dayton, Miss. and my great grandfather, John H. Bynum, who owned the land Foster Creek wanted to put a railway through. The two letters I can put my hands on right now are dated Dec. 8, 1903 and Mar. 8th 1904, respectively. One in particular mentions the building of a ... 'logging railway on or through any part of the land owned by the said John H. Bynum'. I would be happy to share what I have.
