    3. Lynda, Burtonia, Humphreys County, Mississippi was an old steamboat landing located on the north bank of the Yazoo River from which the town of Belzoni sprang up. The land was owned by John Burton, and the landing was named for him. The settlemant gradually drifted to Belzoni, and after the death of Burton, the property passed into the possession of Florence and Edna Burton. In 1900, the property was sold to R. J. McCoy, and Burtonia became a plantation. This information is taken from pg 285 of "Hometown, Mississippi" by James Brieger. There is no listing for Westbug in this book.
