Murphey's ancesters moved with the Collins' and others from 1600's Virginia, into Bute/Franklin Co. NC and over to Maury/Marshall Co. TN. Wm.'s brother Emedicus (aka possibly "Doctor") went in partnership on a plantation in Washington/Issaquena Co. MS with Council Rogers Bass, also of NC. Would like to know if you have these same interests. Emedicus died about 1865, believed shot by the yankees at his home. He was suppose to have been married to an Appie Judkins whose fathers name was Missouri Judkins. They had a son named John H Collins in 1823.
