We've been searching for years for this. We have a lot of the original, day to day, operating records, but could not place it on a map. Do you have any other details that might be of interest to us? Or can you point us in the right direction for further research?We live in Nova Scotia, Canada, so it's difficult to get inter-library loans into another country.. We know that the plantation was lost, because a grand-daughter of Ambrose Knox returned after the war and lived out her life there, but slowy mortgaged the whole thing away. It was finaly forclosed on sometime around 1889. She was hopelessly addicted to morphine. Ambrose B Knox, outlived all 10 of his children and two wives. What a tragedy that must have been.
