Hello, I am looking for information on my paternal grandparents side of the family. Both lived in Greenville, MS until their deaths. This is the information that I do have: Roy John Allen (paternal grandfather) PFC US ARMY World War I Born: 4/12/1898 (This is the date on his gravestone. The Social Security Death Index on Rootsweb shows 4/12/1893) Died: 4/5/1977 SS#: 427-60-1236 I am told Roy John Allen was from Copiah County, Georgetown. I do not have the names of his parents (was told Roy's father raised him and believe his name to be Hester?), but do have some sibling names: Frank (half-brother) Elzie (half-brother) Orneal (half-sister) Janie Pearl (not sure if half-sister or sister-in-law) Ruby (half-sister) Barney (half-brother) Bo Allen (half-brother) T.B. Allen (half-brother) I am told his biological brother moved to Kentucky, but I do not have a name. Bessie (Dickerson) Allen (paternal grandmother) Born: 1/26/1902 Died: 6/28/1986 Parents of Bessie: George Henry Dickerson and Minnie Staingley. They are buried at Dickerson Cemetery in Goodman, MS. Siblings: Pearl, Mather, Luna, Henrietta, J.B. Pearl, I am told has a daughter named Mildred who lives in Kosciusko, MS. If anyone has any information on this family please feel free to email me.
