    2. Lavonda, I hope that I'm being a bit 2 sensitive, or misunderstanding the contents, but I am offended by your response 2 my post. In response to your statement: "Light skin does not always equal white relations"....Did I imply that it does from my post? In addition, the Individuals and Families I am researching I have been told, worked on the same plantations (plural) migrated 2gether, some stayed, other's moved on. I am primarily motivated by finding when & where they were (name of plantation), not necessarily whom the former SlaveOwner(s) were on the plantation(s). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lavonda Staples" <lrstaples@earthlink.net> To: <cdgreens@prodigy.net> Sent: Monday, February 25, 2002 12:12 AM Subject: RE: Please, 1900-1920 Bolivar County: BROWN/BROWNE, GIBSON/GIPSON, GREEN/GREENE, MOORE > > I am related to the Bass family on maternal side and to Hicks on paternal > side. 3. Hi, I couldn't tell from this string which of you are related to the Bass family. I am very interested in this line, especially as it relates to Council R. Bass who died 1854 in Washington Co. MS, and was born in North Carolina. He was partners on a plantation "the Bass-Murphey Place" with my gggreat uncle. Please contact me. -Mark Murphy cdgreens@prodigy.net wrote: > Lavonda, > > I hope that I'm being a bit 2 sensitive, or misunderstanding the contents, > but I am offended by your response 2 my post. > > In response to your statement: "Light skin does not always equal white > relations"....Did I imply that it does from my post? > In addition, the Individuals and Families I am researching I have been told, > worked on the same plantations (plural) migrated 2gether, some stayed, > other's moved on.
