It was a real eye opener for us. The man who was sheriff in Sunflower County at the time was John Robert, Sr's nephew not brother. I have since found John Robert, Jr. living in Arkansas in 1920. By 1930, he had either died or was divorced. Always wondered what happenned to him after the shooting though.
