Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DMB.2ACI/274.1 Message Board Post: I believe this is an african american cemetery. the Plantation belonged to the carson family originally[1800s]. when the levee was put through in the 1930s there were several other grave sites disturbed in the area. That particular stone was removed several years ago by someone who thought they were protecting it. when they realized that the cemetery will not be disturbed it was returned to the site. I don't know that it actually marks the grave site any longer.
