    2. Thanks Lynda! That's what I thought, but couldn't for the life of me figure out why I'd be in a Mississippi List. Now, I remember that over a year ago I had a lead that my grandfather may have been buried in Empire, Mississippi. As it turned out I found his place of death in Missouri. Guess I need to unsubscribe from this list, uh. lol I still welcome you Charlotte as the new list Mom and thank you for the giving of your time. Since I find I'm not in need of this list I will unsubscribe through the correct channels. Good Luck to All in their research. Paula/Oregon ----

This is a HOAX! "Sulfnbk.exe" is part of your Windows program. There is a virus that is sent as an application with the title "sulfnbk.exe ", but it is an extension file. If you will look at Norton's or whoever your Virus Scanner Program is web page you will see this information. This Hoax is going around quite a bit right now, so be careful that you aren't tricked into deleting a part of your Windows Program, rather than a true virus. Paula ----

Folks, Appended is an e-mail from my bother, Charles Jackson, concerning a virus. I followed the instructions and found that the file named sulfnbk.exe made it onto my computer. I deleted it just a few minutes ago. Not much chance that I've passed it along since it is an executable that apparently gets triggered by clicking on it with the left mouse button or by passage of time. However, there is a small chance that it is executed by some other event as well, such as rebooting or opening some registry file. Just in case, please make the check and eliminate the file according to the instructions. Be careful to not left click on the file or it will execute. 1. Thomas F. Leggett, 37th Alabama Infantry, died Greenville, Miss. Jan. 1, 1863
    2. Jeff Armstrong
    3. I would appreciate help from anyone on the Washington County list on my 2ggf, Thomas F. Leggett. His Confederate Civil War service record indicates he was a private with the 37th Alabama Infantry Regiment and was captured at Holly Springs, Miss. He was sent to a prisoner of war camp in Cairo, Illinois. The next listing is that he "appears on a list of sick C.S.A. who were put off on the banks of the Miss. River, from the steamer Minnehaha, at Greenville, Miss. Dec. 31, 1862, entirely destitute of rations, bedding, etc." This information is on a printed card from the NARA. The notation on the card is that he died the next day, Jan 1st., from smallpox. My interpretation of this is that the sick CSA prisoners were put on the steamer, transported down the Mississippi River, and left on the banks of the river on the hope that they would be found and cared for by friendly Confederates. The fact that this information appears on a printed card from the National Archives suggests that the incident involving the steamer Minnehaha was well known, but I haven't been able to find any other information about this incident. Is anyone on the list familiar with this incident? Also, I'm sure it is a long shot, but is there any chance that there might be a Confederate grave in Greenville with this name on it? Thanks, Jeff Armstrong
