Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DMB.2ACI/279.1.1 Message Board Post: Eric, Thanks ever so much for the information about the Knox Plantation. We've been searching for years for this. We have a lot of the original, day to day, operating records, but could not place it on a map. Do you have any other details that might be of interest to us? Or can you point us in the right direction for further research? We live in Nova Scotia, Canada, so it's difficult to get inter-library loans into another country.. We know that the plantation was lost, because a grand-daughter of Ambrose Knox returned after the war and lived out her life there, but slowy mortgaged the whole thing away. It was finaly forclosed on sometime around 1889. She was hopelessly addicted to morphine. Ambrose B Knox, outlived all 10 of his children and two wives. What a tragedy that must have been. Any help would be greatly appreciated Al MacDonald New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Barnes, Lash, Shanahan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DMB.2ACI/276 Message Board Post: Hopefully, someone with access to cemetery records and/or death records can help me out....I'm searching for Lulu (Lash) Barnes. She married a distant cousin of mine (Jonathan Alfred Barnes). They had four sons, but it appeared that Lou may have died from complications of childbirth. Her last son (Herbert Payne Barnes) was born on 7 December 1908 and Lou died on 19 December 1908. He was born in Greenville, MS, so I'm assuming that she died there. For some reason, little Herbert was "adopted" by his aunt and uncle, Dennis P. Shanahan & Lola (Lash) Shanahan. I'm needing to know if Lulu "Lou" Lash Barnes is in fact buried in Washington County, Mississippi. Thanks in advance! Diane

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DMB.2ACI/275 Message Board Post: I am searching for my half-sister, Dudley Ann Tyler Nevener. I found her in the late 1970s. We lost contact after February 1984 in Greenville, but she did try to contact me in February 2001. She is/was married but I do not have her surname from that marriage. I was her maid of honor at her wedding. Dudley Ann is the natural daughter of Rosa Pearl Perkins Tyler Nevener (daughter of Talmadge Perkins) and Dudley Brown Tyler. There were four children of that marriage, all females. The only surviving child is Dudley Ann. Another sister, Jeanette had died just prior to me meeting Dudley Ann. I do not know Jeanettes married surname. She lived in Greenville, MS, also. She and her sisters were adopted by John Nevener. He and Rosa P. Nevener are both deceased. There is not a Nevener message board available. Dudlay Ann is in the Medical field. Any information for Dudley Ann would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Lois Tyler Cockrell
