NEW ALBANY - Dorothy L. Davis, 88, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at her home. She was born March 1, 1919, in Tishomingo to the late Frank and Ola Henley Pharr. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Life Pentecostal Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Mortimer Funeral Home in New Albany. Burial will be in Jericho Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Ivey of New Albany; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Davis, and four sisters, Evie Mitchell, Uvie Mitchell, Edith Yarber and Lessie Ross. Pallbearers will be Jason Culver, Joey York, Adam Carter, Eric Carter, Johnathan Carter and Taylor York. Tyler Culver will be an honorary pallbearer.
