Hello, list members! Please allow me to first say thanks for all of your posts and support since I have become the administrator. A big thank you to Mildred Aday for her continued posts of death records and obits of the past. Our Tishomingo County Historical & Genealogical Society and Archives have partnered with Mildred on this project which will eventually make available these death records of our county from 1912 forward. I have considered posting our current obits on a somewhat daily basis; is this something that would benefit everyone? or would it be a nuisance? Thanks, Brenda
I think it would be benifit someone, but how many remains to be seen. My vote is for posting them on a trail basis. George Brenda Whitfield <jbwhitfield@e1w.com> wrote: Hello, list members! Obituaries are part of Genealogy no matter what year they are collected. Posting them would not be a nuisance at all. Those who do not want them do not have to open their email if it lists Obits in the Subject line. This is just my opinion. I think any obit posting, from any year would help someone locate information. I say go for it.
