Kittie: According to the excerpt from the book it is a complete, alphabetical listing of the "Roster of First Alabama Cavalry, US Soldiers". There is also a section that covers "Some Places of Deaths of 1st Alabama Cavalry Soldiers". When I check for a name for someone, I check in both places.
