In 1848, an Eliza L.B. Long was murdered by a slave by the name of Adaline in Tishomingo County. The slave girl was tried and found guilty and she was hung in October of 1848. The Eliza Long was my ancester and I am trying to find out her age and anything else about her. Are any records of that time available in Tishomingo County? This story was written up as the Second Legal Execution in the county, in a history of Tish. County. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to go for more info on this. Thanks for any help.
