Suzy, Whether she was born in Iuka or Eastport is no biggy as they are only a few miles apart. And, you are correct, Tennessee is only 14 miles away and Alabama only 5 miles away. Anyway, on my fathers birth certificate (1912, Paducah,KY), it lists her birthplace as iuka, MS. However, I spoke to an aunt that I only recently found, who said she was born in East Port. Her birth year was about 1887.. Unfortunately I do not know my great great grandparents (Annie Laurie's parents) names. That is about all the birth information I have on her. I sorry it's so little. I have further information about her, but it's from her marriage to my grandfather. I know from family stories, that they married in Savannah, TN, which I understand is north of iuka, in TN.
