Marlar died at her home near Kendrick, in Alcorn County, Jan 21st, 1912, after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Barnes returned from attending her during the past two weeks, deceased being Mrs. BarnesÂ’ mother. Mrs. Marlar was very old. Had she lived till next June she would have seen her 91st birthday. She was a devout member of the Christian church and was laid to rest at the Babb graveyard on the 23rd, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. Copeland.
