Ellis This highly esteemed lady passed quietly away a little after 3 p.m. Monday from heart trouble and other ailments, after an illness of several weeks. Her death was not unexpected. In fact soon after the development of the fatal malady it became evident that she could not survive long, yet after all her death was distinct shock to her husband, her children and her many friends. Mrs. Ellis, whose maiden name was Clopton, was born near Aberdeen, Miss., about 57 years ago. In 1884 she was married to W. B. Ellis and remained his true and faithful companion until death tore her asunder. She was the mother of three children, two boys, Benjamin and Bruce, and one daughter, Miss Marie, who survive her, all unmarried. Deceased was a consistent member of the Christian church, a woman of cultured mind and high ideals up to which she faithfully lived. A model wife and mother, a cheerful, charitable, social and generous spirit she won friends and held them. The home she graced and lighted is in gloom and sorrow.
