    3. Mickie, You are doing a great job with all of your work! Have you come across any obituaries on Walter, Paul, or Ida(Hubbard) Leatherwood? Thank you again for all you are doing. P. Lock - Obituary - 1912 The spelling of the name is Locke - but this is the way it was spelled in the Vidette. Mickie Lock, W. P. Published in: The Vidette Date of Publication: June 13, 1912 W. P. Lock On Friday morning, June 7th, 1912, at 11 o'clock, the dark winged angel visited the home of W. P. Lock and called his spirit home to rest with the father and mother who had outstripped him and gone on before. Bro. Lock was a kind, devoted Christian. He will be greatly missed in his community. He leaves one brother and one sister to mourn his departure. Bro. Lock was raised in Tishomingo county. He was ever ready to contribute to the Christian cause. He professed faith in Christ and joined the Missionary Baptist Church at New Salem A D 1883. The church has lost one of it's best, kind and devoted Christians, and the community one of it's most loving and God fearing citizens. We know not why God called him from this world, but God knows best. He has crossed over the dark river of death where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping, no more parting up there, but where all is joy and gladness. Brother Lock was about 50 years old. His life bore a clear, clean record, without a spot or blemish. His remains were laid to rest at New Salem cemetery June 8. Rev. W. L. Norman held burial services in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing friends. His brother, D. C. Lock, lives in Tishomingo County, his sister, Mrs. Susie Fagin resides in Texas. W. B. 3. Victoria, I haven't found them yet but I am sure I will eventually find them since they were very prominent people in Iuka. My mother was a Hubbard so I have Ida's family information but not her obituary. I will post them as I find them. It is slow going trying to read some of these microfilms.
