    3. Long, Mrs. J. M. Published in: The Vidette Date of Publication: May 2, 1912 Obituary On April 20th, 1912, at 9:30 p.m. the death angel visited the home of Mr. J. M. Long, taking from him his dear companion. She had been afflicted for quite a while but bore her suffering most patiently. She was a true wife, a true mother and a good Christian woman. She was 55 years old and a member of the Methodist church. She leaves a husband, 6 children and a number of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Weep not as those who have no hope for she has gone to live with God, to await the coming of those dear ones that are left behind. She was laid to rest in the Red Sulphur Springs cemetery and a large crowd attended the burial which was conducted by Rev. Harris Bazzel. A loving one from us is gone, Her voice they loved is stilled, A place is vacant in that home, Which can never be filled.
