    1. [MSTISHOM] C.C. Shook
    2. Vicki Burress Roach
    3. E.W. Carmack served in many public capacities in Old Tishomingo County. I'm not related but can tell from years of research he was highly thought of and must have had money since he commonly put up bond money for people. I'm a Shook descendant. C.C. (Christopher Columbus) Shook served in the Civil War in Company H. He was the first mayor of Belmont, a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and is buried in Joel Cemetery. J.H. may be Henry Shook who is on the CSA rosters as well. I have some Vaughan info in my computer. Descendants of James T. Vaughan Generation No. 1 1. JAMES T.1 VAUGHAN died 1862. He married GABRIELLA HYNEMAN October 11, 1860 in Old Tishomingo Co., MS, daughter of DAVID HYNEMAN and REBECCA DOUGLAS. Notes for JAMES T. VAUGHAN: Served as a first Lieutenant in the Corinth Rifles and was killed in the battle in 1862. 1860 Old Tish. Co., MS census has a James Vaughn age 27, male, day laborer born GA living alone. They would not have married until after the 1860 census was taken, so this is possibly him.
