    3. Chadwick, James Published in: The Vidette Date of Publication: April 04, 1912 Death of James Chadwick From Paragould, Ark. – we gather the following facts concerning the death of James Chadwick, who died there a few weeks ago. Mr. Chadwick formerly lived south of Dennis, near old Hillside post office, in this county. “James Chadwick, an aged farmer whose home is near his farm near Jackson’s Commissary, 13 miles west of Paragould, died suddenly about midnight Monday night, at the home of his nephew, E. P. Gathings, on South Sixth St. in this city. Mr. Chadwick had come to Paragould to close a land deal in which he was to dispose of one of his farms. He went to the home of Mr. Gathings, whose wife is a niece of Mr. Chadwick, to spend the night. Shortly after he retired he suffered a severe bilious attack, to which he had been subject for years. About 10 o’clock he felt better and had Mr. Gathings go to bed and leave him. The latter heard him groan several times after he left the room. Next morning when Mr. Gathings went to his room he was found dead. Mr. Chadwick came here 5 years ago from Mississippi. He was a man of some means, owning a good farm. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. B. Morrow. He was buried at Mt. Zion cemetery. --------------------------------- Take the Internet to Go: Yahoo!Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos & more.
