I am researching the BERRYMAN family. My great grandfather was John M. Berryman, born about 1827 in Tennessee (according to census records). He had a wife named Ann(e) in the 1850 census then later a wife named Emma. The son of John and Ann was my grandfather, Hiram Louis BERRYMAN who married Sahara Jane "Sallie" Fryar. I can place the family in Tippah and Alcorn counties. I know that there are BERRYMAN families in Tishomingo County as well as neighboring counties in Tennessee and Alabama. I know in my heart that they are all related. The problem that we are all so familiar with is that I can not find the link that puts them together. The earliest record I can find for John M. BERRYMAN is the 1850 Tippah County Federal Census. I would very much like to compare notes with anyone who has any BERRYMAN family information, or even an idea.
