Mickie: I believe I need to put my name on your list of asking for help of sorting the Higginbottoms out. I am researching the Boothe-Higginbottom family in Tishomingo County. I donot have any problem with the Boothe family, I have it documented as for as tish co. According to family stories, John E Boothe Married Ida Higginbottom born 20 Dec 1877. Ida's [Mae/May] brothers and sisters are Roscoe, Randle, Nina Pearl and William Nash. My problem is; the family stories state; Ida's fathers name is unknown and Ida's Mother is believed to be Clista Jane [Mamie}Mills. The family stories do include Ida's Mother second marriage was to a Ford. In the 1892 school records,Township 3, no range given. In the household of Higinbotham, C. there is a female named I, 14 years old, which matches the family stories of birth year. other children are, NP, age 12, female, which could be Nina Pearl MR age 10, male, Which could be Roscoe RL age 8. Male, which could be Randel L WN age 6, Male, which could be William Nash The way the above children are listed supports the family stories list of oldest to the youngest in birth order. I need to add one more thing, which will add to the confusion. The Household of John E Boothe in the 1900 census has John and Ida married 6 years, which would make the marriage year, 1894. However, In the 1894 school list , there is no I, in the Higinbotham household. but there is one in the JG Boothe Household, which is John E's father. John E is listed as 18 and there is a I, listed as 16 years old. This I, does not appear anywhere in any census record or any other document concerning the JG Boothe Household.
