Gray, Nora Beatrice The Vidette - March 27, 1941: Mrs. Nora Beatrice Gray, age 57, of Tishomingo, died at a Booneville Hospital Tuesday, March 25, after an illness of several days. She was a resident of Tishomingo County all her life, the widow of the late John William Gray. She has been a member of the Baptist Church since early girlhood and at the time of her death her membership was in the Tishomingo Baptist Church. She was an outstanding Christian woman who knew God and served Him in every way possible. She did not have to tell people she was a Christian, but her consecrated, sacrificial life spoke for itself. She loved the Lord, her church and people and served these in such a way that she was loved by all who knew her. Though her body is resting in the dust, her influence is continuing to lead those who knew her, toward God, and shall ever live to bless all who are touched by this influence. She was truly a good woman whose life was such that all who knew her thank God that she lived. In her departure she leaves five children, Elmer, Elton, Lester, Hiram, all of Michigan and Mrs. Ruth McClung of Tishomingo. Funeral services were conducted at the Tishomingo Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon by her pastor, R. E. Pate, of Iuka. McPeters Funeral Home of Corinth was in charge of arrangements.
