The Tishomingo County WPA records [the ones we have] does not include Cemetery inscriptions. Also, there are no family stories about anyone doing any tombstone transcriptions. However, we will keep looking for more WPA records. I agree with you, tombstone pictures are proof the person lived and died. But, what I did not add to my email because someone had mqde the comment before; Pictures does not allow anyone to rum their fingers over the tombstone trying to figure out a name, when the tombstone has turned black. Neither does photos allow anyone to hold a white piece of paper against the tombstone and run a lead pencil on it, trying to find the indentations of the letters. My vote will go for tombstone photos, with the transcribed data under the picture. So we will get the best of both worlds.
