    3. John, Yes, I can give you help in your family tree research. The first problem is, where were they living in Tishomingo County, MS in April of 1870. Alcorn and Prentiss was carved out the western part of old tishominog county on 15 april 1870. The land that was left in the eastern part kept the name Tishomingo County. So if the Streetman family was "new" tishimongo county, it is possible to find them. I need all the data, you have on the Streetmans, birthdays, marriages and etc. send me a email to [email protected] and we will get the ball rolling. 3. George, They always told me that gg granddaddy John lived on a farm almost exactly across the road from Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Burnsville. Might explain why most all of them are buried there. I would assume that was pretty close to Alcorn County line. When was Alcorn County carved out of Tishomingo? Are there any old land deeds left from that time frame, or did they all burn up when the courthouse burned down? I'd love to find John Streetman's old land deeds, and Jasper's too if possible.
