Do we know who wrote the obits for The Vidette? You certainly never read such heart felt sympathy and caring in today's news! I enjoy reading them even if they are not about families I am researching. >From: Mickie Aday <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: [email protected] >Subject: [MSTISHOM-L] Obituary - Ellett Infant >Date: Sat, 3 Jul 2004 08:46:56 -0700 (PDT) > >Ellett, Infant >The Vidette - December 13, 1894 > >It is our painful duty to chronicle the death of Mr. and Mrs. A. Yes, I've noticed that in the old days those who wrote obits did so in such a respectful, almost poetic, manner. Families and communities were so much more close-knit back then than they are today and that is to our shame. I cringe over the dreadful grammar in today's newspapers, and especially over the callousness of today's obituaries.
