Karen, Micajah C Lindsey and Elizabeth McClurkin were the parents of the Mary Lindsey who married David Franklin. There is a large group of Lindsey researchers trying to pinpoint the next generation back - DNA evidence indicates that all of the Lindseys who were in Rutherford Co. NC in the late 1700s-early 1800s were related. We think that Micajah's father was a James Lindsey, and his mother a Mary Carlton, but this is as yet unproven. If that is the case, then James' parents may have been William Lindsey and Jane ? I will be in NC, SC and VA this fall hoping, among other things, to get more evidence one way or the other.
