According to family oral history, she had married ca 1870 in TN a Miles, who had fought for the Union. They had 2 daughters and he died before 1880 from a fall from a horse. Martha remarried in 1890 in Iuka to William Woodall of Morgan Co. AL. No mention of a second marriage was ever passed down in the family history. I have the death certificates for both daughters. Father on each is listed as unknown Miles. Her daughter, Elizabeth Belle Miles married Ernest Lee Dunn in Lee Co. MS Her daughter, Annie Pauline Miles married Robert Ledbetter of Lee Co. MS but they married in Lamar Co. AL. Do not know why they married there. Do not know how she met Wm Woodall in Iuka as he lived in Morgan Co. AL. Anyone with any suggestions to find more info on Martha, I would be most appreciative.
