In an effort to make more electronic records available to the public, TCHGS began submitting records to the Mississippi Gen Web Project in April of this year. To date, more than 650 records have been contributed by Cindy Whirley Nelson and RaNae Smith Vaughn. The records stem back to the collection which Nelson began in 1995, when she founded the historical & genealogical society, and include records transcribed by Nelson, Vaughn, and other volunteers for the past thirteen years. The society would like to thank Jeff Kemp, county coordinator, for his willingness to work with us on this special project.
