    3. For years I have used PELLON fabric to do rubbings of headstones. Works the same as paper and Pellon is easy to work with. Do not get the kind that has iron on backing!! The kind of Pellon I buy is soft and thin and makes excellent rubbings. I buy it by the bolt (because I do so many rubbings). After getting an imprint of the headstone, I take another piece of pellon and place it over the rubbing so it won't smear, then fold it gently. When I get home, I frame some of them (especially direct lines). Looks great on my genealogy walls in the hallway. Not only do I have the data I'm looking for, but when I go down that hallway, I can remember my ancestor of long ago and the trip taken to find their headstone. Nancy K(Crook)Stewart
