Hoping someone that has done research in Tishomingo County MS can help me. I am trying to learn more about researching in Tishomingo, Alcorn and Prentiss Counties. Any help appreciated. I have great grandparents that died in these area in 1926, 1934, and later and would like to get their death certificates and obits. I have been told that even up until the 1940 that sometimes death certificate were not recorded. Is that possibly correct? Is there a death index roll that can be searched to see if the names are on it before sending for the certificate? If so, where would might I locate a copy to look up their names? Also on the obits is there newspapers in these areas for these years. Any help much appreciated. Thank you Regina
