Brenda, Your welcome and I`m still working on getting all the information on Tribal Pages. Anyone is welcome to view it at http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes/ladyj Loranza Dow Holloway's mother, Martha Frances Thomas Holloway is the person who sold the land for the old Chapel Hill School and the Holloway School in Tishomingo Co., MS. The cost were $5.00 on Sept. 6, 1901 Chapel Hill School and $1.00 on Dec.17, 1908 for Holloway School . The community was at one time called "Holloway, Tishomingo Co., MS." Dora and Dow Holloway made their home in Tishomingo Co., MS. Martha and James Holloway's old home place is located just a short distance from Chapel Hill Church. The old home place is still being lived on by our family members, Mr. J.C. Johnson. I would like to say that at least 98 % on the information I have was given me by Juanita Holloway Augustine. She is the great granddaughter of Susan E. Blassingame and Sidney Hafford Carroll Holloway. **** On the Holloway side. Third Generation: James Holloway was born Oct. 13, 1840 in Morgan Co., Al. He died March 3, 1896 in Tishomingo Co., MS. He married Martha Frances Thomas , Daughter of Miles Thomas and Margaret Cowan, on Feb. 14, 1867 in Tishomingo Co., MS. She died Dec. 11, 1918 and both are buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Tishomingo Co., MS. They had the following children: i. John must have died early as he is not shown in the 1900 census, and Martha states that she has seven children living at that time. v. Loranza Dow Holloway was born on Dec. 20, 1876 and died March 31, 1932. vi. Margaret A. Holloway was born in July 1879. vii. Isophena Alma Holloway was born on March 6, 1881 and died before 1904. viii. Isophena F. "Icy" Holloway was born on Aug. 12, 1884 and died on Jan. 18, 1914.
