Brenda-thanks for the encouragement. Sometimes I feel like this family must have been put here by aliens for a short time, then whisked back to their home planet. I do know some of the family, which doesn't show up after 1880 in Tishomingo Co., went to Pocahontas/Izard co. ARK. Son Arthur wwent to Tippah co, MS then on to Ark. Mickie and All, First of all let me just say thank you for all of your hard work! Even if I didn't have a Tish. link it would be interesting to read. Next for my question. Can anyone tell me exactly where this Farris Cemetery is that is mentioned in this obit? My cousin and I are wanting to come to the Farris reunion in October. So, if all works out we can do a little looking too. Thanks!! With Tishomingo County "on fire", this seems a good time to ask about my James McCullough. He married Samantha Christian in Itawamba County in 1861, and they had a daughter in 1862. Samantha's family lived close to the Tish County line, and perhaps James was from Tishomingo County and they went back there to live after the marriage. In any event, by 1870, Samantha had remarried and was in Illinois with new husband. James either died young (guess his age at 24 when they married) or they divorced. Any help or suggestions greately appreciated. Frank Martin

Just wanted to share with those of you who use Family Tree Maker (or any other genealogical computer program probably has such a feature). When I open one of the obits/death records that is in one of my lines, I use the edit feature of the email to "select all" and then "copy"; then go to the FTM, find the person, click edit and then notes and "paste' the info; I'm sure that most of y'all know this procedure and use it, but just in case someone doesn't, is sure saves alot of time. Thanks, Brenda
