First let me say that my information came from a Thorn family member who lives in or around Red Bay, AL. There are 2 Charnell Hightower Thorn's. CharnAll Hightower Thorn was the son of Joseph Merryman Thorn, Sr. and Catherine Hightower and was born 12 Sep 1756 and died Aft. 1840. CharnEll Hightower Thorn (notice the change of spelling) was the son of Presley Thorn, Sr. and Anne Williams and was born Abt. 1800 and died 1867. He married Elizabeth Sanderson. My connection is Thomas Charnell Hightower Thorn son of Thomas William Thorn and Sarah Hite Hughes and was born 12 Apr 1803 and died 08 Sep 1879. He married Sarah Hite Hughes. The names Charnell and Hightower appeared often. There is a very rare book done by a student around WWII that has the entire family history. I do not have the book but have studied it and a great deal of the information is in World Family Tree #31 (I think) My married name was Barbara Mills, and the tree may be linked that way. Done several years ago and probably more info available now. I did not do all the lines because it was so enormous a task, but could possibly get my hands on the book briefly over the next year to get additional info.
