Wanda, there was an article in the Family Trees section of the Tupelo Daily Journal on 02/08's Sunday edition advertising a new book "The Confederate Dead in Brooklyn" by John Walker. I ordered the book and the only person from Iuka is a Augustus L. Riggs - and one from Corinth - T.C. Robertson. There are short bios for each one - here is the opening for Augustus L. Riggs: "One record states that he was 32 while a second states that he was 34 when he was mustered into service on march 6, 1861, at Iuka, Mississippi as a member of the Mississippi Rifles Company. Born in Monroe County, Alabama . . ." "Thomas C. Robertson, a private in Company I, Eighteenth Mississippi Infantry regiment, was born in South Carolina - a resident of Brownsville, Mississippi, he enrolled at Corinth, Mississippi, on May 23, 1861. Looking for information about SUSAN ELMINA MOORE B. 6 JULY 1840 Tishomingo Co., Ms. Daughter of JOHN MOORE b. 12 May 1794 and died before 1870 census. Mother JANE (known as Granny) MOORE b. May 1798 and died 31 December 1891. The Moore's arrived in Tishomingo Co., Mississippi in late 1840's. Family in Franklin Co., Alabama for a couple of years before moving to Mississippi. The Moore's were in Jefferson Co., Alabama in earlier 1840's. Believe they came from Kentucky before their marriage. Sibblings were ELIZABETH MOORE FRANKLIN , AMERICA JACKSON MOORE HARRIS, MARY JANE MOORE GLENN, JOHN E.
