I found that the McPeter's Funeral Home records at the Alcorn County Website have been the greatest tool for finding death information on my family. You should give that a try. Dianne
Thank you Vicki for your nice comments. We also hope Alcorn County can do the same in your county. It only takes a few dedicated individuals with a committed heart! I am looking for a marriage record for George Houston & Josephine(Josie)Kelley. They were married sometime between 1948-1959 either in Alcorn or Tishomingo county. It was a second marriage for both of them. He was my mom's grandfather and she was my dad's grandmother. They were married when my parents were just small children. If you have any information about them, please let me know. Thanks, Theresa Kelley-Sharp

This is for Brenda who asked who was researching the Holt surname in Tishomingo County. My second great grandfather William Pressley Holt(1846-1938) married Frances Ann Knowles (1846-1927) in Tishomingo County in 1866. Several of their children were born in that county. If you are interested in more complete info let me know. Diane Nielson Frost Holt Knowles
