    2. anyone have old pictures of the family of Odom? IF I should live to a ripe old age, may I possess some depth of individuality, charm and wit, that I may not be discarded when I am withered, worn and weak, but sought after and cherished like a fine antique. Debbie LaGrone

    3. The Wayne County Historical Society of Wayne County, Tennessee will hold their annual "History Fair" tomorrow, Saturday, July 10th, 2004 at Collinwood School, Collinwood, Tennessee. The History Fair starts at 9:00 A.M. and will continue until about 3:00 or 4:00 P.M. Dear Cuzons: Each year the Wayne County Historical Society does a great job and each of us that attend are able to find those persons that are researching some of the same families that we research. If you had ancestors that were/are in Wayne County, Tennessee you should try your best to attend. I plan to be there and will be looking for others that research the following surnames: Cooper, Balentine, Koonce, Sinclair, Roach, Hill, Duncan, Fowler, South, Randolph, Milford, Rodgers/Rogers/Rodjers, Nolan/Nolen/Noland, Sharp, Woods/Wood, Whitten, Howell, Wesson, Poindexter, Witherspoon, Horton, Ayers, Gillis, Phillips, Lee/Leigh, McKelvey, Faires/Farris, Paulk, Palmer, Lamb, Duckett, Neal, Irons, O'Kelley, Valentine, Young, Cathey, Ghrigsby and other connecting families. Stop by my table and "chat a spell". My wife is related to half of the folks in Wayne County. SteveCooper Cloverdale, Alabama [email protected]

    1. Obituary - Nora Beatrice Gray - 1941
    2. Mickie Aday
    3. Gray, Nora Beatrice The Vidette - March 27, 1941: Mrs. Nora Beatrice Gray, age 57, of Tishomingo, died at a Booneville Hospital Tuesday, March 25, after an illness of several days. She was a resident of Tishomingo County all her life, the widow of the late John William Gray. She has been a member of the Baptist Church since early girlhood and at the time of her death her membership was in the Tishomingo Baptist Church. She was an outstanding Christian woman who knew God and served Him in every way possible. She did not have to tell people she was a Christian, but her consecrated, sacrificial life spoke for itself. She loved the Lord, her church and people and served these in such a way that she was loved by all who knew her. Though her body is resting in the dust, her influence is continuing to lead those who knew her, toward God, and shall ever live to bless all who are touched by this influence. She was truly a good woman whose life was such that all who knew her thank God that she lived. In her departure she leaves five children, Elmer, Elton, Lester, Hiram, all of Michigan and Mrs. Ruth McClung of Tishomingo. Funeral services were conducted at the Tishomingo Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon by her pastor, R. E. Pate, of Iuka. McPeters Funeral Home of Corinth was in charge of arrangements. 2. Mickie Aday
    3. Clark, Moss W. The Vidette - July 03, 1941 Moss W. Clark died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Autie Vernon in Haleyville, Ala., late Tuesday afternoon following a brain hemorrhage. His health had been failing for the past three years, but he had been able to be up and about until the stroke which came on Monday. Mr. Clark was 78 years old and had spent most of his life in Tishomingo and Prentiss counties, having come to this community when a young man, from Kentucky. He with two of his brothers followed carpentering for a few years. Many of the old settlers homes near Burton and New Hope were built by these men. It was in the Burton community that he met and married Mary Penelope Owens (Molly P.) daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Turk Owens, who were among the pioneer settlers of that community. With the exception of about five years, M. W. Clark and family have been located at Paden, where he was a merchant and lumberman. He was wide awake to all modern improvements and took the keenest interest in helping to build and develop the county and community along the best lines. No man had more sincere friends and was always honorable and upright in his dealings. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. and held fast to their teachings until his death. He is survived by four sons, Julius of Paden, Carlton, of Fulton, Ky, Murray of Macon, Ga. (Camp Wheeler) and Lyman of Russellville, Ala., two daughters, Mrs. Autie Vernon and Mrs. Ursula Parson, both of Haleyville, Ala., and a host of relatives and friends besides 9 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at Forked Oak Church with Elders of the Latter Day Saints in charge. Choirs from Haleyville and from Tuscumbia community furnished song service. After the close of the services his body was laid to rest by his companion, who went on 13 years ago. Many lovely flowers were placed on the newly made mound attesting the great esteem in which he was held by those who knew and loved him.
