    1. Mitchell Cemetery- Demolished
    2. Melissa McCoy-Bell
    3. Mitchell Cemetery in the town limits in Walnut, MS was demolished and built over during the 1930's. A man simply removed the stones and built on top of the graves. In an effort to have the cemetery restored I am trying to create a list of the graves that were in that cemetery. Please check your records and see if any of your family members were buried there. Since it was demolished before the cemeteries in Tippah were logged none of the graves are on the website, some are located in the death notices, which I have listed below. The last person I have listed was buried in 1924. The Hopkins family at the bottom were my ancestors. Any infomation you have would help. Thanks, Melissa McCoy-Bell Here is what I have so far: CARTWRIGHT, W. C. "Dick" (Obit.
